RTX 4070 Ti Listed
Over at Drako.it, the RTX 4070 Ti has been listed and is expected to arrive 31 days later. If we do the math, this corresponds to the 5th of January. The listing has a slight error in the name as the 4070 Ti will arrive with 12GB of G6X memory, not 16GB. Either way, we now have an official confirmation from two different sources regarding the 4070 Ti’s release date. The non-Ti variant, however, is still nowhere to be seen. One can only wonder what became of that GPU, with some hints towards it being downgraded (Average Ada moment).
RTX 4070 Ti, What to Expect
The RTX 4080 12GB (4070 Ti) was massively slower than the RTX 3090 Ti, with some claiming that it is on par with an RTX 3080 12GB. The 7900XTX is roughly 50-65% faster than the 6950XT (3090 Ti), which of course crushes the 4070 Ti. Even the slower and cheaper 7900XT is much better being just 15-20% slower than the 7900XTX.

This makes it very clear that Navi31 will literally walk all over the RTX 4070 Ti. The expected pricing of $899 only makes things worse for NVIDIA. Though, that is still yet to be seen. Ada is a serious test for NVIDIA’s exclusives such as DLSS 3.0, Tensor Cores, and CUDA Cores. To put it simply, if it’s not for the performance, users are most certainly going to buy NVIDIA for the features. But then again, RDNA3 has almost similar equivalents with much better performance and value.
