Rockstar Pays Its Respects to Red Dead Redemption 2
The new Red Dead Online Update now features extra missions in the fray. We got to see extra telegram missions for the game along with a variety of quality-of-life updates and some bug fixes that were otherwise neglected for the western shooter by Rockstar for a long time. Players will now get to enjoy some fresh new material following the game’s last DLC add-on for the game titled Blood Money, back in July of 2021. But the latest update to Red Dead Redemption also includes a sneaky new note that’s accessible from the game’s pause menu. The note can be found when navigating to the credits screen and it basically confirms that Rockstar has put the wraps on Red Dead Redemption 2 as its staff moves on to work on GTA 6. The new patch notes for Red Dead Online state that a link has been added for the credits to the pause menu. The new links display a message where Rockstar thanks the Red Dead Redemption 2 community. This is pretty similar to the thank you note we got to see on the GTA V and GTA Online official sites where Rockstar states: It seems pretty evident that Rockstar has all of its hands full with the development of GTA 6. Keeping in mind all the rumors, facts, and sketchy dates set for Rockstar’s GTA 6, it’s possible that an announcement for the new Grand Theft Auto game is imminent, with Rockstar showcasing their heartfelt love and affection with a farewell to its biggest game and fans before finally moving on.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Patch Notes
Red Dead Redemption 2 players have recently run into a few bumps as they stumble across the wild west. Players have experienced a range of glitches and an Online experience that is a cesspool for cheaters and hackers alike. The new update serves to fix a few of the issues but not all of them have been addressed or reported so far. Evidence of an alternate ending has also come to light with the update, as players found a hidden cutscene buried within the game’s files. This suggests that the game might have had a very different story at one point in time in contrast to the full release that we’ve enjoyed till now. We aren’t sure if we’re ready to move on from Red Dead Redemption 2 but the idea of another iteration added to the Grand Theft Auto franchise sounds pretty exciting. Rockstar seems to be pretty busy if they’re bringing developers on board from the Red Dead Redemption Team along with the developers for the Grand Theft Auto Series. In other news, the new Red Dead Redemption 2 also brings some long-demanded additions into the fray. Users were implementing FSR 2.0 mods of their own back in July 2022 for Red Dead Redemption 2 and now, Rockstar has officially added support for the super-sampling solution. The Future of Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online?
Rumors have been circulating for years for GTA 6 as it was only officially confirmed to be in the works via a Tweet back in February 2022 via Bloomberg Reporter Jason Schreier. Schreier stated that the game has been in development ever since the inception and release of GTA 5 back in 2014. Even with that time frame, next to nothing is still known about the game. So far, it’s speculated that the game will take place in the fictionalized version of Miami famously known as Vice City. The game has also been rumored to feature multiple cities along the way as added DLC content and maybe even countries but that sounds a bit too far-fetched. There have also been suggestions that the game will follow a female lead protagonist for the first time since 1997 when the original GTA featured four optional female leads Divine, Mikki, Ulrika, and Katie. With that said, what will Grand Theft Auto 6 hold for us in the future? A satirical parody of modern-day America or something entirely different standing within the confines of Libertarian ideologies as rumored quite recently We hope Rockstar doesn’t lose its golden touch that we’ve all known and loved it for when it comes to the Grand Theft Auto series and gives up a story and experience that far outshines GTA V. Now, the question still stands. What will happen to Red Dead Redemption 2 now? Will Rockstar halt any bug fixes, quality of life improvements, and updates, now that different teams are gearing up for development for GTA 6? We’re not sure but considering GTA Online is still in full swing, that might not be the case for Red Dead Online either. But Read Dead Online doesn’t perform as well or get regular content updates akin to GTA Online, so there’s no real straight answer to this whole shindig. We’ll just have to wait and find out in the future. Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently available for Windows PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S|X, Xbox One, and Xbox Game Pass. As for GTA 6, it’s still currently in development. And that’s pretty much it for today on Appuals. So, what do you think will happen to Red Dead Redemption 2? Will Rockstar cease future updates for the game or will they take care of it with future updates? Let us know in the comments below. We upload daily on Appuals, so stay tuned for more. Till then, see you later and goodbye
