i9-13900HX Spotted
The device we’re currently talking about is none other than Razer’s upcoming high-end gaming laptop. This is the first time we’re seeing Razer opt for the Intel-HX series. Either way, the i9-13900HX packs quite the punch being nearly on-par with the i7-13700K. For starters, the i9-13900HX ships with 24 cores / 32 threads, equal to the highest-end desktop configuration. Alongside that, this CPU features 36MB of L3 cache, or 6MB more than the i9-12950HX. This laptop is equipped with 32GB of memory. We do not have much information about the GPU, though it is safe to assume that Razer may use NVIDIA’s Ada mobile lineup. As for the performance, the i9-13900HX scored 2063 points and 20164 points in the single and multi-core test respectively. That is really impressive for a laptop CPU. To put that into perspective, take a look at the following chart The i9-13900HX surpasses the i7-13700K in multi-core testing and is on par in single-core workloads. Those extra cores really do help this CPU with the multi-core performance equal to AMD’s Ryzen 9 7900X. On a generation-to-generation basis, the 13900HX is a solid 12% increment over the i9-12950HX.
Release Date
While we do not have any official word from the giant itself, Intel is planning to release a mobile lineup by the end of this year. The -HX series will most probably arrive after the base -H variants, so expect a release date no earlier than next year.
