Horizon Forbidden West, Guerrilla’s follow-up to Zero Dawn, was released earlier in 2022. As was to be predicted, the PS5 hardware enabled this sequel to have better graphics, more character detail, and a higher level of performance. It now appears that PlayStation plans to include these identical changes in a new version of Horizon Zero Dawn that will be released in the future. An unnamed insider has reportedly revealed that PlayStation is working on a remake or remaster of Horizon Zero Dawn, according to a recent claim from MP1st. According to reports, the PS5 version of the game will contain various changes that will make Horizon Zero Dawn more similar to Forbidden West. This implies that a variety of aesthetic elements, including lighting, character models, textures, and many more, will receive significant improvements. It’s also been said that Guerrilla plans to include in this remake of Zero Dawn many of the accessibility elements that were present in Horizon Forbidden West. Assuming that this claim is true, it further demonstrates that PlayStation wants to make the trend that The Last of Us Part 1 started into a larger one going forward. But Horizon Zero Dawn is far more recent, having only been released in 2017. It’s rather perplexing to learn that it might be getting recreated, especially considering that there is a better PC version of the game. There are other games in the series that are being worked on as well, including a PS5, PC multiplayer game, in addition to the Horizon Zero Dawn PlayStation 5 remake. Apart from the fact that it will include the tribes already featured in the series, not much else is known about this project. Although Horizon Zero Dawn was just published five years ago, it definitely holds up fairly well. However, it appears like Sony is already planning to remake the game, continuing a trend that was established with The Last of Us Part 1. Two sources have verified that the project is in indeed real, with a third giving some brief details that it may feature a form of co-op. Customization is said to around the different tribes established in the Horizon franchise, however, we have not been able to verify either that, nor the details on whether or not the online would feature any sort of co-op, or PvP.”
