Navigate to this address C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution (If you have installed windows on ‘C’ drive).
There, you will find Download Firstly, make a copy of this folder somewhere else. You can paste it anywhere else on the hard disk. After making a copy of the Download folder, double click on the original Download folder and delete everything inside. It would be better to restart the PC after deleting the files and check if it works or not. I am sure it would do the magic.
Method # 2: Run System File Checker Scan
If, for some reasons, the above method doesn’t do the work for you, then you would be required to run a System File Checker Scan in order to check for corrupted or missing system files and to fix/ restore them to their normal state.
