The EU did not provide a precise date, although one was planned, according to the recently released information. According to the European Union, all smartphones must include a USB-C connector by December 28, 2024. However, other devices are not covered by the new law because the following hardware is also included in the legislation that was passed in October of this year: As a result, in addition to iPhones, other Apple devices like AirPods that have not yet adopted the USB-C interface will need to do so before the deadline. Apple and other businesses have until 2024 to transition to USB-C, so it has the option to decide at the last minute to keep the antiquated charging connector on its iPhone 15 series. The new regulation also implies that soon, additional Apple goods like Mac keyboards, mouse, and trackpads will have to come with USB-C connectors by EU regulations, enabling customers to share a single charger. Mobile phones, tablets, e-readers, earbuds, digital cameras, headphones and headsets, handheld videogame consoles and portable speakers that are rechargeable via a wired cable will have to be equipped with a USB Type-C port, regardless of their manufacturer.
