The RX 7900 XTX
As highlighted by Videocardz, the last we saw an -XTX GPU from AMD was the ATI Radeon X1900XTX. For some context, this GPU came out almost 16 years ago. It seems as if AMD is planning to switch things up this time around. This name change is a blast from the past for many old school gamers and enthusiasts. Now, whether this rebrand is a slight hint towards the performance is not known. AMD may use the 7950X branding for the X3D variants, however, we also have a 7970X GPU on the cards. Either of these SKUs will end up being the V-Cache equipped flagship version. The only verification would be AMD themselves on the 3rd November.
Release Date
AMD will announce their RDNA3 lineup in less than 2 weeks, however, a launch day is not mentioned. We expect to see these GPUs in action around the same time when NVIDIA’s RTX 4080 16GB retails.
