Just a few minutes ago, Nintendo has made that rumor official by announcing a new Direct Mini Partner Showcase for tomorrow. This presentation will focus on content from third-parties so don’t expect any crazy announcements. Moreover, it is a Direct “Mini” which essentially means it’s less important than the normal format of the show, which runs longer.

The show will rum 25-minutes long and include information on upcoming third-party games, as stated by Nintendo. Nothing else about the Direct Mini was revealed, but that doesn’t mean we can’t dream.
What to expect
There are two games most likely to appear tomorrow, the first one being Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, which is developed by Ubisoft in tandem with Nintendo, so it is technically a third-party game. Nonetheless, it was announced last year and since then we have heard very little about the game, so it stands to reason that we may see it headline tomorrow’s show. The second probability is that of Persona. Yes, you read that right. The leaker who reported on Nintendo arranging a Direct showcase this week said their sources informed them of a Persona game being present at the show, though nothing else was confirmed. Keep in mind that Persona 4 and 5 are still not available on Nintendo Switch, despite just being ported over to PC and Xbox Series consoles. So the opportunity to do so is right there. Again, a man can only dream. Other potential candidates include a possible new look at Bayonetta 3 and Monster Hunter Rise’s new “Sunbreak” DLC. Lots of titles from Square Enix are also possible including remakes of Dragon Quest 3, Live A Live, and Tactics: Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. Not only that but a prequel to Dragon Quest 11 named “Dragon Quest Treasures” is also on the table. Obviously, that’s a lot of games and Nintendo can only unveil so much in the measly 25-minute time frame. I’d say as long as we get to see a brand new game that people are/will be actually excited about then it’s a win. We won’t have to wait long to find out.
